Location:

Ball Ground Cement Terminal - 80109 (Ball Ground, GA)

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Plant Maintenance Technician to join our team at SRM Concrete. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our plant machinery and equipment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular maintenance checks and routine inspections on plant machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues, repair faults, and perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to identify maintenance needs and prioritize tasks.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs for all machinery and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures at all times.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Effectively communicate with plant management and other team members to ensure operational objectives are met.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a concrete plant or similar industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Welding skills and experience with fabrication are highly desirable.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position, including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in varying weather conditions.
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards.
